There needs to be more education for those who are giving the answers to customers. I could not pay Nov and Dec premiums due to job loss and was told to just not pay and it would lapse but I could still apply for 2018 coverage at a lower rate. However, I was told by the insurance company and the Federal Market place that in order to have coverage for 2018 at a much smaller price I would have to pay the rest of the 2017 premiums in order to have coverage for 2018. When I called these people back they were like oh sorry that use to be the case but it must have changed and you will have to pay it. No care at all!! Also, the price they quoted my for 2018 that I enrolled for there was no such amount. This local business has no clue and do not care! Call the Federal Marketplace to enroll, don't deal locally!! I learned the hard way!!
