Starbucks

The coffee is great. The staff are welcoming, kind and attentive. The problem with this location is that the seating has changed, so that there are no longer enough tables to sit and enjoy a cup with a friend or 2. There are now only a few, 2-top tables, and the comfortable seating has all been removed. Now, a monstrosity of a long, bar-like table dominates the entire place. Gone is the cozy, coffee-house vine that welcomes good conversation. Instead, it feels like a cold, bleak, industrial place, geared to get a lot of people in and out more quickly, while encouraging a lot of alone time beside strangers. On top of that, the parking and the way the traffic backs up turning into the drive-through in the mornings is not good. Starbucks, I love you but you’re pushing me away. Now, I must find another place to meet. It’s not me, it’s you.
