Visited the folly road branch Friday to obtain a car loan (after a wreck that totaled our car) after years of excellent standing on previous loan. Nice lady greeted us and said we need to speak with doug, but Doug had something to take care of first and would be about 15 minutes. No customers were in Doug's office, and he came out 30 minutes later and could not have been more disinterested in continuing to do business with us. Without a glance, he said he would not begin the process without W2s and waved us away. We took our business to bbt the following Monday morning, and the loan was set before the end of the day.
Rewind back to the merger -- were obtaining a mortgage on our home and south state was missing 2 months worth of bank statements for us and had no way of providing them! Poorly run bank -- zero customer service skills. There are plenty of banks on folly road. Don't waste your time here.
