Well, I have nothing but nice things to say. While there have been a few bumps here and there in our decade long relationship, I still hold them higher than any other bank I've ever dealt with. Free coin machine for members in the lobby. Now, while there seem to be a whole new group of people working every time I go in, I've never received less than stellar service. The manager even knows me by name, and I'm only inside every other month at best.

Last September I took out a loan on a car I already owned. I only needed the money for a few months as I hate borrowing any money. The loan was set up for three years but after 6 months I went in to pay it off completely. I went to the Lexington location and asked for the 10 day pay off. I paid the full amount the next day and considered the account closed. I kept $25 in a checking account (a requirement to be a member) on the off chance I needed to finance another car at some point. When I got this month's statement it showed that I was delinquent on the loan payments by $.13. When I went to the branch to find out what had happened they informed me that they had the reported failure to settle the balance to the credit bureaus from their collections department. Then after reporting me delinquent they then subtracted the $.13 from my checking account. That ended the delinquency of payment but the credit ding was still reported. 1) Why was I not given the correct 10 day payoff amount back in March? 2) How was any delinquency handed off to their collections department with no notice to me by mail, email or phone by the bank or the collections department? 3) Why wasn't the problem solved by deducting the $.13 from my checking account before the problem was sent to collections and before my credit was affected? 4) What kind of person, bank or institution would report any customer as delinquent on their account by $.13 and then after reporting them, solve the problem easily? I continue to be amazed at how banks, credit card companies and the like claim to be so careful with our money, so attuned to their customers needs and so customer service oriented and still do this kind of thing? Why do we as customers continue to endure it? I became livid when it was then explained to me that I would have to write a formal letter to the Credit Bureau to contest the error. I then explained that I would not be writing anything to anyone. I told them that they will have to take care of this as the responsible parties for the error. To be fair, once the associates I was working with became fully aware that it had been completely their error and not mine, they bent over backwards to try to solve the problem. I have closed the account and I was refunded my $25.00 from my checking without the $.13 deducted. They are to call me next week to confirm that they have taken care of any negative report to the Credit Bureau.
