Nadeau - Furniture With a Soul

My fiancé and I had a recent experience at Nadeau. There is no doubt they have beautiful furniture. However, we bought 3 pieces (2 night stands and a dresser). Due to raining we were able to take the night stands at the time of sale and had to return to pick up the dresser 4 days later. At the date of pickup there were several scratches and a large chip that was not there at the time of purchase. The associate said that this likely happened during storage in their store but also said the store is not responsible for damages while stored. Her only solution was to stain over the dents and chips without even refinishing it. They offered no compensation for the damages they incurred. Nowhere in their policy (Terms of Sale) does it state they are not responsible for damages during storage. We felt her solution to the problem was suboptimal given the damages they incurred. The furniture sold is beautiful, but given this experience we will likely not be back. A warning to anyone shopping there: make sure you are able to take furniture with you the day of purchase to avoid any damages during their storage.
