Beyond rude at front desk. Went in to pick up my prescription as usual. Standing at counter, I could hear staff behind wall and kept saying “hello” but have a severely compromised voice. Finally knocked on wall but still no response. Knocked again and “Amber” came out and very rudely chastised me. Said with a mouthful of food, “Can’t you see we’re at lunch?” I said “I’m sorry but no, I didn’t realize you were at lunch.” She pointed and said “see the sign.” I said this counter is extremely “busy” with lots of signs and no, I didn’t see it.” I apologized again as she continued to berate me telling me I would need to come back in 20 minutes after they finish lunch. At this point I told her there’s no reason to be so rude about it. She repeated herself in a very harsh and discourteous tone and said “what do you want? I said I’m here to pick up my prescription. She said “They’re at lunch and you’ll need to come back” then walked back behind the wall. I don’t think I’ve ever been treated that poorly, especially from someone that’s supposed to be in the medical profession. Even more surprising that it’s part of, the usually very professional, Lexington Medical System. Very disheartening that someone would act like that. I’ve been a patient there for 10+ years and still am in awe of how rude Amber could be. Makes me not want to go back to ever have to experience behavior like that again.
