Jack of Cups Saloon

Different kinds of people like different kinds of restaurants. Jack of Cups is no exception. This place has good basic food served spicy whether the menu notes it or not...so expect it. As typical on the Folly Beach main drag, Center Street, has no designated parking set aside, so expect to go hunting,.paying or walking. The restaurant has no outside signage, so you might have to hunt for the place as well. It's the only place with no sign, so maybe that'll help you. Our waiter was prompt, attentive, moderately cordial. and had an excellent memory of our party of 7. The restaurant interior is small and has one, single-occupant bathroom shared by everyone. The menu is cute, but odd, with limited information about the items. The available items appear cater heavily to vegan needs and allow you to add some limited meats for additional costs. Our friends were vegans, but we are not. All of the adults at the table were at least a little surprised by a bit more hot spice than we expected or wanted. The 3 kids with us tolerated it better than we did. Overall, a strange place with food my wife and I didn't care for, but probably good for some vegans who like their food spicy. What a great place to enjoy some eclectic food! There is no sign, just look for Jack on the roof. The strawberry spring rolls are awesome. The veggie burger may have been the best one I’ve had; you may really think it’s meat. The curry Mac & cheese is a great take on comfort food. Try the mushroom soup as a side. There are not many tables so plan ahead!
