We've visited several times and have always been satisfied with our experience. Tonight was far less satisfactory. We sat on the back deck and Jay was our server. He was very good, so I am exempting him from this review.
First, on one of our orders, the baked potato was barely warm and was visibly old due to the brownish color of the inside of the potato.
We asked for French fries as a replacement and the ff were not freshly cooked. On another plate, the ff were also obviously fried twice and not fresh. Some were so dark and hard they were inedible. Also, the burgers were not medium doneness as requested. Granted, it was busy because it was Friday night...but, I can't give you a pass for that. You should be equipped to handle a busy Friday night.
I come from a family that owned seven restaurants, and we made it a policy that the kitchen had a quality control system. Nothing left the kitchen that wasn't perfect. I feel it is important for these things to be brought to management's attention, not just as a complaint, but so that improvement can be made. Eating out is a luxury for some of us these days and I want to spend my money on quality, not quantity.
My family will probably return to your restaurant, but we sincerely hope the next time won't be the last time.
