Bought home about two months ago now. DR Horton moved closing date up 1 week to get sale by end of month. Was fine with us but the house wasnt ready. Morning of closing there was hole in bathroom you could put your fist in. This hole was there 1 week before when did walk through when marked blemishes. Most of all the marking tape was still in place throughout the house. Closed at 10am and contractors were still in my home until ~5pm. When got home from work that evening still had large list of issues that were not corrected. Also had to have the surveyors come back out to explain to DR rep that the property line on survey was correct and they needed to finish puting in sod. Met them following day to show them the things that werent done as promised. Its now been almost 2 months and those things are still not fixed. Have scheduled the venders for next week and the following which will involve me having to take 3 half-day vacations from work. This poor crafstmanship and lack of oversite is now offically costing money. The house is beautiful and its a nice neighborhood. Pool is about useless do to size. DO NOT close until every little thing is fixed. The lawyer was recomended by DR Horton Mortgage and turns out he does all of their homes. He said "dont worry they will fix all the issues your having, they have a great reputation". This is my only experience with them so take it for what its worth. I will never buy a brand new home from them again.
Ryan was a pleasure to work with . Nice lots close to everything. Country setting . Perfect for new families or retirees.
